Performs various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Reports to: Director Diagnostic Services and Imaging Supervisor
Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.Drag Edit DeleteWhen ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.Drag Edit DeletePrepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.Drag Edit DeleteImplements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Graduate of a Program in Discipline (Radiologic Technology) - RequiredDrag Edit DeleteRequired Skills

Certifications:
BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required to be obtained within 90 days of employment, if not current upon hire.Drag Edit DeleteRequired Skills
Licenses:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography - Required or registry eligible. If registry eligible, must attain registration within 6 months of employmentDrag Edit DeleteMinimum Work Experience
New Rad Tech Graduates considered.
6 months experience as Rad Tech - Preferred for Evening, Night and Weekend Shifts.
