Arranges patients for radiological examinations. Produces radiographs (x-rays) to aid in diagnosis of medical problems. Prevents patients from being exposed to unnecessary radiation. Relies on instructions & pre-established guidelines to perform functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. A certain degree of creativity & latitude is required. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology, either hospital based or college degree program & registration as a technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices & procedures within a particular field. Prefer minimum of two years experience. In addition this position will administer nursing care in a clinic under the supervision of a registered nurse. Participates in the delivery and evaluation of patient care. Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision.
