Rail Service Technician 2nd Shift

We value leadership, diversity, and inclusiveness, fostering a culture where great ideas and people thrive. **Job Overview:** The Remanufacturing Service Technician will play a vital role in the remanufacturing process, focusing on the disassembly, assembly, cleaning, requalification, and rework of locomotive traction motor combo components. This role involves using manual and automated equipment while adhering to safety and quality standards. **Key Responsibilities:** + Adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures. + Perform manufacturing and remanufacturing tasks for traction motor components. + Operate manual and automated equipment, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic tools. + Inspect, repair, and test components for compliance with quality and engineering standards. + Disassemble and reassemble machinery and equipment for repairs or inspections. + Use precision measurement tools to verify compliance with specifications. + Operate fork trucks and overhead cranes in compliance with OSHA guidelines. + Contribute to continuous improvement processes and maintain 5S standards in the workspace. + Train team members on existing and new procedures. + Assist in improving product quality and production efficiency. + Complete process documentation and meet acceptable defect rate requirements. **Qualifications:** **Required:** + High School Diploma or GED. + At least 1 year of related experience in a manufacturing environment. **Preferred:** + Associate’s Degree or equivalent Technical School certification. + Knowledge of EHS procedures and policies. + Experience with analytical testing and inspection measurement equipment. + Fork truck and overhead crane experience. + Ability to handle tools and materials up to 50 pounds. + Strong communication and teamwork skills. **Why Join Us?** We are committed to fostering a workplace that values diversity, inclusiveness, and innovation.
