Location: Houston, TX (LaPorte, Texas)
Compensation: $90K-$100K - Plus Bonus
Reports to: Sr. Supply Chain Manager
Travel: Less than 30%

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Job Description Summary: The Rail Supply Chain Analyst, located in Bayport, TX, has the responsibility of scheduling the loaded and empty Airgas Argon Railcar Fleet. The Analyst works closely with Distribution, Supply Chain and Logistics to ensure timely deliveries to select US and Canada destinations in the Argon Supply Chain.
Plan an optimized LAR rail schedule for railcar fleet.
Analyze all rail routes to improve transit/turn times with the RSI software program.
Work closely with the Logistics team to manage LAR truck deliveries required for loading rail.
Actively works to improve rail detention time at rail depots.
Works with railroad companies to identify and correct issues related to routing and spotting of rail cars.
Makes recommendations on utilizing rail vs. truck, in conjunction with distribution, Supply Chain and Logistics.
Identify/track rail product losses and provide recommendations on reductions. Ensure all rail shipments are accurately billed in ALTO on a monthly basis.
Compile and complete rail reports on a monthly basis.
Support LAR Supply Chain Manager on LARSCIP projects.
Manages the LAR inventory levels at all rail depots to ensure customer supply is met.
Execute the Ortec Supply Chain Design plan on optimizing the rail car fleet.
________________________Are you a MATCH?Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain, logistics, operations management, mathematics or related field or a minimum 5 years’ experience in the industrial gas supply chain operations and/or planning bulk deliveries in the Industrial Gas Industry
2 years experience in rail transportation or logistics industry required
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Google applications (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of Industrial Gas supply chain experience
2 years RSI software experience
