Railroad Office Engineer/Coordinator

Harris & Associates is seeking an Railroad Coordinator to support our Third Party team on Construction Package 1 (CP1) for the California High Speed Rail (HSR) project. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: + Manage QRF Team workload between the general contractor and PCM + Perform QRF on Workplans and Crossing Applications + Perform QA/QC on outgoing submittals, RFI’s, and RFS’s to Railroads + Assist in Managing Rail Team Railroad Schedules- BNSF (new)/UPRR + Coordinate Utility Schedule Checklist + Participate in Next Utility planning + Attend all Rail Team Meetings + Manage UPRR Utility Coordination meetings + Create minutes and agendas + Develop methodologies + Provide info to 3rd party coordinators + Provide info to Issues List meetings + Coordinate with UPRR/BNSF/SJVRR, PCM 3rd party, wider PCM teams, and general contractor + Provide updates to issues matrix log + Coordinate with field staff + Organize and attend pre-construction meetings + Update counts on WP’s and CA’s for PCM scheduling and project control teams + Provide 10-day notice letters to UPRR + Obtain PGE signatures for UPRR Crossing Agreements + Attend and provide updates for the CVSR Land Conveyance meetings + Conduct field visits-verification + Perform other duties, as required Preferred Experience/Education + BS Engineering (Civil/Mechanical) + 2 years of construction management/ (Heavy Civil) Construction industry experience is a plus + Must possess strong written and oral communication skills. + Excellent interpersonal skills.  Must thrive in a team environment. + Self-starter with strong problem-solving ability + Working knowledge of MS Office, Blue Beam(pdf), CADD, and scheduling software/concepts. + Experience interpreting and reviewing civil engineering drawings/designs Compensation & Benefits The annual salary range offered for this position is $82,000-124,800. Actual pay offered will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.  In addition to base salary, we also offer: + Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance + ESOP + 401K Match + PTO, 8 Paid Holidays + "1 WorkAversary" paid holiday to celebrate you! + Health & Well-Being Allowance + Tuition reimbursement Harris & Associates is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE AA M/F/Vet/Disability) and provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
