We are seeking a Railyard Train Supervisor that will be responsible for effective and efficient coordinating of inbound/ outbound units are loaded onto the train and ensure proper handling.

Responsibilities Manages and coordinates the activities of train crews, providing oversight and direction in accordance with company policies and federal laws.Assist in overall terminal operations including safety, operations testing, administration, maintenance, and productivity. Will provide direct oversight for the on-duty rail crew. Ensure the proper execution of the daily operating plan. This includes coordinating and preparing railcars for loading and unloading. Responsible for problem solving with local railroad officers.Prevent personal injuries and accidents by actively and aggressively promoting employee habits, attributes, and behavior with a goal of Zero Harm.Initiate and provide an accurate, complete, and timely investigation of all accidents and incidents, including root cause, remedial action, and recommended solutions.Conduct efficiency tests, check rides, stop tests, and operational test to determine the effectiveness of training and to monitor rules compliance.Ability to train switch crews and yardmasters to perform job-related duties; and to provide training related to federal and company regulations, rules, safety guidelines and preventive maintenance.Other duties as assigned by the company.

Qualifications Customer service experience is preferred, this is an indoor desk position..Open availability, facility runs 24/7 including nights, weekends, and holidaysAble to work rotating 12 hour shifts, texas two step and alternating days to nights.Proficiency in typing, mathematical knowledge, organization, and time management skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Windows, PowerPoint, and Excel) skills.Must pass a pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screeningThe Federal Rail Administration sets and enforces safety regulations and standards for railroad operations. Use of cannabis is strictly prohibited.
