Position Summary\n
The Ramp Controller is a critical part of our line service team, responsible for overseeing and directing all aircraft movements on the ramp to ensure the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and coordination. This role serves as the communication hub between line service professionals, pilots, operations, and customer service teams.\n
Key Responsibilities\n
\u00b7 Coordinate all ramp activity, including aircraft arrivals, departures, and positioning\n
\u00b7 Communicate directly with line service professionals, aircrew, and customer service representatives to ensure timely aircraft marshaling, towing, fueling, and service support\n
\u00b7 Monitor ramp traffic and ensure safe ground operations in compliance with FAA regulations and Million Air safety protocols\n
\u00b7 Work with Line Service Supervisors to assign parking spots based on aircraft size, tenant preference, and operational needs\n
\u00b7 Respond to radio calls and dispatch service requests in real-time to appropriate personnel\n
\u00b7 Maintain situational awareness of all ramp operations and anticipate potential conflicts or hazards\n
\u00b7 Support line service leadership with coordination of daily shift planning and task delegation\n
\u00b7 Perform ramp inspections and report any safety concerns, FOD, or equipment issues\n
\u00b7 Assist in emergency response coordination on the ramp as needed\n
\u00b7 Deliver exceptional customer service by fostering a safety-first, solutions-oriented environment\n

Qualifications\n
\u00b7 Prior experience in line service, airport ground operations, air traffic control, ramp control or as a pilot is preferred\n
\u00b7 Strong knowledge of aircraft types and general aviation procedures\n
\u00b7 Excellent verbal communication and multitasking skills\n
\u00b7 Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure situations\n
\u00b7 Familiarity with two-way radio operations and ramp control procedures\n
\u00b7 Valid driver's license and ability to pass an airport background check\n
\u00b7 Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays\n
\u00b7 Customer focus-naturally outgoing\/extroverted\n
\u00b7 Communicate with customers and employees in person, on the phone, and through radio communications\n
\u00b7 Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and be insured by our insurance company (Requires clean driving record)\n
\u00b7 Strong computer skills including Microsoft office products\n
\u00b7 Basic mathematical knowledge\n
\u00b7 Bi-lingual preferred\n
Reporting Relationship\n
This position reports to the Line Service Manager\n
Work Environment\n
This position works inside and outside in all types of weather conditions and direct contact with both moving and non-moving aircraft. This is a face-paced position that requires someone who is very organized and proactive.\n

Education, Experience, and Eligibility Qualifications\n
1. Customer service experience in the service industry preferred\n
2. Prior aircraft ground handling experience a plus\n
3. High School Diploma\n
4. Entry level position\n
5. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays\n
6. Acceptable driving record\n
