Mb Solutions is looking for an amazingly talented FTS\/Range Safety Lead to join our team! In this role the candidate will support the MDA Targets and Countermeasures Engineering Directorate providing assistance across the targets portfolio with flight termination system and range safety requirements development and verification, GFE and CFE hardware and software development, acceptance, qualification, integration, and checkout. Candidate may also be called upon to support component failure investigations and review boards.\n

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING\n

\u2022 Performance and\/or oversight of requirements development and allocation and verification for targets flight termination system products, including autonomous flight termination systems, and associated range safety requirements\n

\u2022 Performance and\/or oversight of GFE and CFE hardware and software development, acceptance, qualification, integration, and checkout.\n

\u2022 Providing expert advice to product and component failure investigations and review boards.\n

\u2022 Providing summary level and detailed level reports as necessary to document status, findings, and recommendations.\n

\u2022 Represent the interests of the customer in Working Groups, for a, and Technical Interchange Meetings\n

\u2022 Additional duties as assigned\n

WHAT REQUIRED SKILLS YOU BRING\n

\u2022 Master of Science or Master of Arts degree and 12+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program \/ project OR a BA\/BS from an accredited institution of higher learning in a related field with 20+ years of experience in lieu of the MA\/MS degree requirement.\n

\u2022 Active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance\n

\u2022 Works independently and\/or leads teams to analyze and resolve problems\n

\u2022 Must be able to provide daily supervision and direction to support teams\n

\u2022 Working knowledge of Missile Range Safety Requirements\n

\u2022 Familiarity with flight safety analysis and analysis products\n

\u2022 Proficiency in Range Tracking Systems (inertial measurement, GPS, C-band tracking)\n

\u2022 Proficiency with RCC-319 Flight Termination Commonality Standard and RCC-324 Global Positioning and Inertial Measurements Range Safety Tracking Systems Commonality Standard\n
\n

PREFERRED SKILLS (DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED)\n

\u2022 Highly Desired - Familiarity with autonomous flight termination systems\n

\u2022 Flight Test Range Safety experience\n

\u2022 15 + years of experience in defense and aerospace\n

\u2022 Knowledge of the Missile Defense System and the MDA Targets and Countermeasures Program\n

\u2022 Background in batteries, RF systems, ordnance and ordnance devices, antennas.\n

\u2022 Must be able to work in a dynamic environment and have the individual flexibility to work multiple actions simultaneously and resolve time sensitive issues\n

\u2022 Strong communication skills to include oral, written and briefing\n

\u2022 Must have excellent, established computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word, and Project\n

\u2022 Must be a pro-active, self-starter
