Job Summary:
As a Rapid Access Unit Supervisor, you will provide oversight and supervision to the Behavioral Crisis Center Technicians. You are responsible for the daily operations of the Rapid Access Unit and Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit, ensuring that the overall behavioral health needs of clients seeking treatment are met. This role requires professional experience and training to stabilize crises and facilitate referrals for ongoing care. In this role, you will:

Serve in the capacity of Rapid Access Unit Supervisor, addressing the behavioral health needs of clients.Participate in required staff development activities, completing a minimum of 40 annual training hours as mandated by licensing entities and CARF.Ensure accurate and timely documentation for shift reports, incident reports, electronic health record (EHR) forms, observation logs, and communication logs.Engage as an active member of the treatment team, facilitating a safe environment for crisis stabilization.Provide direct and indirect supervision of assigned staff and clients, conducting ongoing evaluations for staff development.Monitor and provide feedback on staff’s ability to deliver crisis stabilization and behavioral health support.Participate in staff scheduling, meeting coordination, program evaluations, and other assigned duties.Review job applications, coordinate with Human Resources on new hires, and evaluate staff performance.Generate staff schedules, monitor replacements, and approve time cards.Provide on-call assistance after hours for scheduling needs and staff support.Oversee facility cleanliness, maintenance activities, and coordinate necessary repairs or purchases.Maintain records on health/facility inspections and drills.Assist in answering phone calls and relaying messages as necessary.Review incident reports for completion and accuracy, reporting staff injuries to Human Resources promptly.Exhibit a willingness to accept constructive feedback and implement changes as needed.Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Essential Qualifications:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedures manuals.Proficiency in writing routine reports and correspondence.Strong verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients and staff.Basic arithmetic skills for various measurements and calculations.Ability to apply common-sense understanding to follow instructions in multiple formats.Competence in addressing various human problems and managing crisis interventions.Capable of entering clinical documentation into a computerized record system.Skills in developing and evaluating services within assigned responsibilities.Effective communication skills for producing clear and concise reports.

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:

Must be at least 21 years of age.High School Diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field is preferred.

Supervisory Requirements:

Communicate the strategic direction of the organization and encourage team participation.Provide leadership and guidance within the department.Actively monitor the identification, development, and execution of strategic objectives.Involve team members appropriately to achieve goals and communicate changes effectively.Handle sensitive team member situations with discretion and Human Resource advice.Champion change and support team collaboration throughout functions.

Employment Requirements:

Successful completion of background checks including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint check.Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.Fulfillment of all training requirements including Relias at the start and annually thereafter.Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.

Physical Requirements:

ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull objects, including the human body.Sedentary work involves mostly sitting but may require walking or standing briefly.
