The Rare Disease Specialist is a unique role within the Kedrion US Commercial team as it relies heavily on relationships and passion for successful promotion of our products (Koate, Coagadex, RYPLAZIM) within the hemophilia A, Factor X & plasminogen deficiency communities. The geography coverage for this role is beyond North Carolina thus covering multiple states with broad targeted customers across the geography. Hunter mentality is needed.
In this role, you will:
Assume responsibility for the sales achievements of the Rare Disease products (and other launch products when applicable) within a defined geography.Build authentic relationships within the hemophilia and/or other rare disease communities, and key decision makers/stakeholders, which includes the major treatment centers, patients, targeted HCP clinics, correctional institutes, to educate on our products and help drive awareness of the disease states we serve and ensure appropriate utilization of our products. Demonstrate a deep understanding of key customers, disease state for which our products are indicated and competitive plasma therapies to differentiate the Rare Disease portfolio. Develop strategic account plans with clearly defined sales and executional objectives. This includes:Developing daily, weekly and/or monthly schedules to ensure efficient and comprehensive coverage of assigned geography. Completing pre-and post-sales interaction analysis that impacts future customer interactions.Inputting customer information into the CRM tool and leverage all the capability of the CRM tool to enhance job performance inclusive of leveraging feedback from Field Contact Reports. Delivering comprehensive and accurate sales presentations using all marketing and sales materials to defined customers. Executing a consistent selling model to gain optimum results and be recognized as a leader regarding selling skills and authentic relationships.Finding creative ways to deliver results faster, effectively and more efficiently. Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of all promoted and competitive products along with technical and marketplace knowledgeBe able to see the decision-making process all the way to a conclusion. This will include making sure all vested parties are aligned with the decisions including but not limited to: physicians, nurses, specialty pharmacies, home care, payers, Medicaid, consumers, caregivers, parents, distributors, patient organizations, pharmacists and/or blood blankers.Expected to be a clinically adept within the bleeding disorder therapeutic area and able to communicate at a high level across all channels.Demonstrate strong listening skills in order to identify barriers and opportunities, be a problem solver, resourceful and solution oriented to achieve goals. Providing regular feedback in a clear and professional manner to the broader Kedrion US Commercial team on customer feedback, competitor activity, buying patterns, trends within the Rare Disease space, etc.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
Ability to cover a multi-state geography; Proximity to a major airport
Current or recent sales experience within rare disease or ultra rare disease
Being clinically adept
Can provide examples of authentic relationships built
Strong sales person, either having won awards at prior company, or passionate self-motivated to reach and achieve sales goals in a new organization
Must have examples of the above.
Able to portray the uniqueness of selling in this space and bringing all vested parties together.
