As an Analyst in the Rates Middle Office team, you will be servicing Rates products mainly Swaps, Futures and bonds. You will be responsible for trade reconciliation, trade life cycling, Trade settlement queries,  liaising with regional and global stakeholders to deliver solutions to the business and our clients which is integral to the day-to-day operations. 

Job responsibilities

Timely and accurate capture of all transactions in the Risk Management Systems Complete intraday / end of day processes including completeness and reconciliation checks to ensure capture of new trading activity and general book management has been processed accurately Work closely with Operations functions and infrastructure groups to support a ‘one team approach’Ensure all controls are diligently performed, completed, and signed off on a timely basisCommunicate clearly and concisely with all support teams to ensure the timely and efficient resolution of queriesParticipate and contribute to the various strategic initiatives; keep improving and evolving processes and business architectureBuild an in-depth understanding of all trading structures from both a financial and operational perspective

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in either Rates Trade Support/ Operations / Middle Office within the Financial Services Industry is required Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplinesGood understanding in relevant derivatives (Interest Rate Swaps, Basis Swaps, Cross Currency swaps, Forward Rate Agreement (FRA),  Overnight Index Swaps (OIS), BondsKnowledge of the front to back Operations process (including the key elements such as confirmations, settlements, and regulatory reporting) and facilitate issue resolution across teams.Understand the key elements of other infrastructure groups (i.e. Finance, Market risk, Credit risk, Operational risk, Legal, Collateral, etc.) and recognize the impact of the actions of the Trade support team on these areasAttention to detail and sense of ownershipGreat team player and able to work in a pressurized  and changing environmentPossess strong analytical and numerical skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including senior executives, managers and subject matter expertsStrong proficiency in Excel and the ability to pick up complex systems architecture easily 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Experience in Middle Office/ Operations  Strong technical skills, especially in Excel ( VBA / Alteryx a plus)
