Job Summary
As Raw Material Planner, you will support Manager, Regional Executive Leader for Asia Pacific on the day-to-day operations for material planning. You will lead the continuous improvement of the material planning process, manage raw material planning on ad-hoc changes to schedule and production downtime and collaborate closely with buyers and vendors.How You Will Contribute:
• Create, validate and maintain a valid materials plan based upon the Master production schedule.
• Ensure the right material are procured at the right time, quality and quantity to minimize production and storage costs, based on the material plan.
• Develop and provide expected demand for ingredients and packaging materials to buyers on regular basis. Obtain supply capability confirmation.
• Schedule and manage the execution of material deliveries against existing contracts or purchase orders.
• Assess and response to raw material storage and distribution capacity requirement based upon supplier lead times.
• Lead resolutions of short-term supply/ demand imbalances for ingredients and packaging materials.
• Participate in and provide data for evaluation of supplier service performance and work with sourcing and suppliers to improve performance.
• Execute the plans for non-productive raw materials for disposition. Manage health of raw materials, captive and packaging materials.
• Manage levels, replenishment models, product mixes and stocking locations.
• Participate in daily/weekly/monthly planning meetings and represents material plans as appropriate.
• Communicate with manufacturing, plant technical, purchasing and master scheduling personnel regarding supply problems and their resolutions.
• Utilize the system(s) of record to plan and execute raw material and captive procurement and identify issues where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate raw material and supplier master data including planning parameters such as order quantities or lot sizes, lead times and safety stocks.
• Identify inaccurate raw material inventory records and initiate actions to address.
• Perform other duties as properly assigned by supervisor/manager.
What you will need to be successful:
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field with working experience of 1-3 years
• Preferable knowledge in MRP, SAP & APO
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Strong knowledge of and proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel
• Possess adaptability and flexibility skills.
• Ability to work across multiple functions within a site and the network at multiple levels of the organization.
