JOB PURPOSEAssist the effective and efficient management of Trims Raw Materials helping and supporting the achievement of functional quality standards, through a solid and competent supplier base, strategically sounds relationships and sounds technical knowledge. Contribute in supporting strategic thinking through a matrix approach, optimising efficiencies in ordering, cost negotiation, RM stock management and on time delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES Support the procurement strategy and approach with the commitment of all relevant internal stakeholder is developed in partnership with the Senior Management within the Trims Category Partner with the business and maintain continuous dialogue to understand ongoing business needs & future aspirations Develop, maintain and evolve a robust supplier matrix Build and establish collaborative partnerships with key suppliers, including timely 2 way communications, feedback on performance, risk mitigation Assist in the end to end management activities of the supplier base (including selecting and onboarding, negotiation, matrix and risk management, capacity management, performance and exit) Participate actively in the negotiation of cost, lead time and minimums of RMs Build cost sheet break down for RMs focusing particularly on core or strategic RMS Map and manage supply chain for core or strategic RMs/Suppliers Contribute and support sustainable materials and manufacturing Track supplier performance in line with KPIs set PERSONAL PROFILE Technical degree in textile or textile related studies Negotiation skills Fluent in both Italian and English Advanced level of Excel Previous experience in Textile Knowledge of luxury industry Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong soft / inter-personal skills MEASURES OF SUCCESS FOOTERBurberry is an Equal Opportunities Employer and as such, treats all applications equally and recruits purely on the basis of skills and experience.
