Adhere to raw materials procurement policies and procedures in line with corporate procurement strategy in order to ensure the integrity of raw material supply and support the achievement of corporate production objectives
Awareness of and compliance with raw materials procurement policies and processes

Market Knowledge
Keep abreast of the latest developments in domestic and international raw materials markets and explore new sources, and gather sufficient data to assess them and evaluate their performance as per SSC policy
Build and maintain a strong professional network within the Middle East steel industry, exploring and utilizing opportunities for cooperative industry group purchasing activities in order to achieve best value SSC raw material procurement

Supplier Relationship Management
Report on current supplier performance in line with company standard requirements in order to support the integrity of the current and future raw material procurement process
Professional image of SSC is conveyed in public forums

Requirement Planning and Coordination
Coordinates the updates of the shipment schedule with Supply Chain Management as required in order to ensure that scheduled activities meet the planned needs of the production process on an ongoing basis
Prepare of Cash Flow projections for Major Raw Materials in consultation with Finance Department
Prepare claims against suppliers issues in order to ensure that costs are reclaimed
Raw Materials requirement Plans completed in a professional and timely manner to appropriate standards

Process
Undertake commercial evaluation of tender bids, collate results with technical evaluation information and prepare report for the Section Head to enable decision making on tender awards
Check for and enforce required approvals and financial authorizations to place orders with suppliers in line with set corporate financial authority limits
Procurement processes for raw materials completed in a professional and timely manner to appropriate standards of quality

Qualifications
University graduate with a degree in engineering, commerce / business administration

Experience
5 years raw materials purchasing experience in the steel industry
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the raw materials procurement process and its importance to the overall operation of the company

Skills
Knowledge of SAP & MS office software applications, particularly Microsoft Excel
