What is the opportunity?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Paraplanner to join the team in Birmingham on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have previous experience as a Senior Paraplanner, with a broad understanding of core Financial Planning solutions to ensure that you, and any staff you manage, fully comply with the FCA Codes of Conduct.
As well as having responsibility as a Senior Paraplanner, you will also manage a team of Paraplanners and Financial Planning Assistants. Prior management experience is desired, though not essential. Most importantly, you will have an interest in becoming a people manager and developing a team.
What will you do?
Analyse client’s aims and needs to construct solutions as a tool for advisors to communicate to clients.
Produce robust financial plans and analytical information in support of Financial Planners and Financial Advisers.
Support with business development activities to contribute to team/office growth and profitability targets.
Delegate tasks effectively, provide feedback and play an active role in supporting others’ development and lead by example.
Demonstrate correct application of client processes to others.
Understand and comply with regulations and principles applying to the role and RBCBD policies and procedures.
Adheres to Conduct Risk standards.
Help your team develop, both individually and collectively, through meaningful development conversations, coaching and feedback.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Attained CII Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent.
If a Certified Person, maintains SPS in line with professional body requirements.
Excellent Accuracy, numeracy, and attention to detail.
Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines/work within restricted timescales.
Knowledge and continuing expansion of Financial Planning knowledge across a broad range of Financial Planning topics.
