Position:  Staff/Senior

The opportunity:
 Work as staff/senior on multiple workstreams for middle and back-office functions for an asset management client.

Position Responsibilities:

Interact with the pricing vendors to price securities Communicate daily inquiries to appropriate internal departments Monitor and data mine the daily pricing for anomalies and potential issues Perform deep dives on issues related to securities pricing and methodology Issue price challenges Interact with Portfolio Managers as an internal consultant Interact with internal and external audit teams Audit internal processes, identify and mitigate risks, and develop and enhance controls Develop reports and presentations for funds, the Boards, Legal, and Portfolio Management Maintain current knowledge of domestic and foreign securities markets and monitor effects on funds, pricing, and valuation procedures Manage various projects related to process improvements, procedures, and systems development

Position Requirements

Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a quantitative field Minimum 3 years of experience in security valuation and mutual fund operations Experience working with trading desk and portfolio managers Market data knowledge from working with providers of financial data, such as Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, Intex, and others Experience working with business intelligence reporting tools and dashboards, such as PowerBI (preferred) or other platforms Advanced Excel/VBA, SQL, Python, strongly preferred Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics CA, CPA or CFA designation Experience with mutual fund governance and fund boards Experience working with Business Analysis and Project Management
