RCC Senior Closing and Delivery Officer
Overview:

Performs and manages various closing and delivery-related functions and activities in connection with the loans originated for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA/GNMA, the bank's portfolio, and other financing programs that M&T RCC participates in.  Responsible for training other M&TRCC closing and delivery staff who perform some or all of the functions and activities for which the incumbent is responsible.

Primary Responsibilities:

Perform various loan closing and delivery functions, ensuring that all such functions are carried out in compliance with applicable Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA/GNMA requirements and other program requirements and in accordance with internal policies and procedures.

Review commitment letters, underwriting files, outside counsel memoranda, and loan documentation to confirm accuracy and consistency.

Research tax and insurance information and perform escrow analysis, prepare various spreadsheets and other documents to prepare for closing, work cross-functionally with origination, outside counsel, processing, underwriting, and accounting to ensure information and documents are correct and that outstanding items for closing or delivery have been addressed.

Perform cross checks on specific loan information to confirm calculations and statements are accurate; track investor information; and upload documentation to the appropriate agency portal or website.

Assist with production of information or documents for various audits and reviews by internal and external parties.

Coordinate with outside counsel firms, title companies and borrowers on closing logistics; ensure all closing conditions have been met prior to closing; review and confirm closing documentation is correct prior to delivery to the appropriate agency.

Maintain in-depth knowledge of the multifamily product lines, policies, and procedures of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA/GNMA, as well as any other external requirements that might have an impact on the closing/delivery activities. 

Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.  Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

Complete other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities:

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree and five (5) or more years loan closing, loan documentation or loan administration experience relating to multifamily/commercial real estate loan transactions. In lieu of a degree, nine (9) years' combined relevant experience

Self-motivated, detail oriented and well organized; able to handle multiple projects at once with tight time frames

Able to interact with internal and external customers with tact and diplomacy

Critical thinker who can examine information and identify and resolve issues

Highly skilled in all Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel) and Adobe DC, and proven ability to quickly learn and appropriately utilize other software applications

Education and Experience Preferred:

In-depth knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac or FHA/GNMA programs and guide requirements. Experience with Freddie Mac (DMS, CRT) and Fannie Mae (C&D, DUS Gateway, MSFMS) and FHA/GNMA systems a plus.

Knowledgeable about real estate loan documentation
