POSITION TITLE : Engineering Technologist HOURS / WEEK: 40 JOB SITE LOCATION: 3 Paragon Dr, Suite 215, Montvale, NJ 07645 DUTIES : RCM Technologies (USA), Inc. seeks an Engineering Technologist based out of our office at 3 Paragon Dr, Suite 215, Montvale, NJ 07645. Note, this is a hybrid position where by the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. Note, this position does not require travel. Experience in developing complete packages of medium/high voltage relay protection, power distribution center, high/low voltage circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear and other utility substation equipment. Interpret electrical design concepts, determine requirements of detailed drawings, identify design problems and recommend changes. Review electrical schematic wiring diagrams and supporting documents and ensure that design plan is in accordance with the client's standards and international acceptable codes. Execute project task plans. Compare schematic drawings with wiring diagrams for accuracy. Design and create final electrical construction wiring drawings. Prepare schematic diagrams, block diagrams and controls drawings and interconnection diagrams. Supervise workers engaged in drafting. Review work orders and procedural manuals and confer with vendors, clients and supervisor to resolve problems and modify designs. Coordinate across disciplines. Perform check print reviews. Exercise sound judgment in design methods. Accurately estimate judgment in design methods. Accurately complete assignments on time. Effectively communicate with co-workers and client's representatives in a positive, cooperative team-orientated environment. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related degree field and 2 years of experience as an Engineering Technologist, Electrical Designer, Electrical Engineer or a related occupation. Experience must include: Experience with AutoCAD and Microstation. Experience with National Electric Code and electrical industry standards. Experience with Substation Relay Protection.
