RCS-Analyst

This position is responsible for the timely and accurate resolution of accounts receivable for IU Health entities supported by Revenue Cycle System Services. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, provider enrollment, charge description master and fee schedule maintenance, claim submission, third party follow up, cash posting, denial appeal and recovery, audit defense and recovery, and patient collections. Position adheres to departmental productivity and quality standards in support of operational goals.  This position is remote Mon-Fri 8a-4:30p
 

Key Responsibilities:

Identifies, researches, and resolves claims issues Identifies and communicate to management suggested educational opportunities Monitors defined reports and coordinates with applicable departments to ensure accounts receivable is properly stated Maintains working knowledge of workflow, systems, and tools used in the department

Must Have:

Ability to follow instructions and maintain precise and intense attention to detail Ability to communicate and work effectively with peers, management, and external contacts (business partners, network contacts, providers, and vendors) Consistently demonstrate skills in organization, prioritization, and professionalism to ensure timely enrollments Excellent time management skills, organizational skills, and people skills Excellent problem-solving skills (Demonstrates a strong ability to analyze problems and implement process improvements) Self-starter, self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple projects Structured, flexible, and open to new ideas Motivated to perform duties proficiently under extreme time constraints maintaining a professional demeanor to meet mandatory deadlines  Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and have excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

• At least one year of experience in hospital or physician billing strongly preferred.
• Requires working knowledge of payer billing requirements and regulations.
• Requires a high level of interpersonal, problem solving, and analytic skills.
• Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Requires the ability to work within a team and maintain collaborative relationships.
• Requires the ability to take initiative and meet objectives.
