R&D Team Lead

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and execute tests on different products in various testing laboratories using standard testing methodologies and requirements. Each day, you will work independently by applying established standards, and instruct or coach other professionals. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring proper documentation of the test results.The work model for the role is: #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Electrification business Smart Power division in Bangalore, India.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tPlan, design, and execute, software/firmware testing on embedded electronics platforms.•\tDevelop new and revamp existing software/firmware test procedures and maintain those procedures.•\tMaintain the test case / test plan database. •\tSupport new product development test programs and product lifecycle verification and validation initiatives.•\tAnalyzes test results and prepares test reports in partnership with the research and development teams.•\tProvides test fixture development and lifecycle support for the research and development team.•\tProvide software and firmware support for laboratory test equipment.

Qualifications for the role

\tA bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, or computer engineering (or similar)\t8+ years of experience in embedded firmware or software working as a test or development engineer with embedded systems preferably in Power domain.\tHands-on experience with software/firmware testing, validation, test automation and debugging tools.\tExperience in Test management iAzure DevOps platform or similar a plus.\tExperience in Power Quality Analysis, Metering, Power Electronics is a plus.\tExperience with RS-485, RS-232, Modbus, and similar communications protocols.\tStrong written and verbal communications skills.
