Job Duties and Qualifications Qualification + Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory. + Master's and/or Doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering is desirable. Experience + At least 5 years of experience (including academic and/or industry background) in equipment/toolsdesign, modeling, simulation, and testing; + Experience indesign, assembly and testing solutions in Oil & Gas, aerospace and/or defense industry is required; + Experience in thedesignof Machine Elements; + Experience with Quality Control of manufactured mechanical parts of tools and equipment – G,D&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing); + Advanced knowledge CAD tools – SolidWorks is preferable; + Advanced knowledge of CAE tools – Ansys and/or SolidWorks are preferable; + Timely document technical reports; + Experience with Engineering Management, including participation in R&D projects; + Demonstrated problem-solving skills, and a strong sense of ownership; + Ability to innovate and think outside the box, self-starter, self-motivated; + Required to have strong communication, leadership, teamwork, adaptability, problem solving, critical observation, and conflict solving skills; + Fluent in English. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities + Responsible for designing, testing and documenting the mechanical subsystems of a Halliburton wireline tool under development. + He/She will design mechanical systems and commission with advisory from US-based Subject-Matter Experts and Brazil-based Discipline Leader. + He/She will collaborate with Halliburton development teams based in the US and Singapore. + He/She will work close to the Mechanical Engineering team, Systems Engineer and the Project Manager at the Halliburton Technology Center in Brazil (HBTC).
