This program will provide critical support in reading, math, writing and science to help students learn key concepts to support their classroom learning and SOL objectives.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: Diagnoses learning skill deficits using district provided assessment informationDelivers prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by the CompanyConsults with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to studentsAttend training sessions and deliver designated instructional models and strategies in reading, mathematics, science, and/or writing skills to students through the utilization of identified materials and educational strategies.Develops and maintains individualized skill-appropriate student work plans.Ensures supervision of students, including escorting students safely to and from sessions.Establishes and maintains student forms and files as required by the Company, local, state, and/or federal agencies.Attends and documents meetings/training with Company Supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents as required by the Company, local, state, and/or federal agencies.Provides quarterly progress monitoring reports to designated personnel.Maintains inventory of educational materials and supplies.Other duties may be assigned.
Position Details: Tutors will provide contracted instructional services with the necessary educational expertise in reading, mathematics, writing and science and knowledge of VA SOLs.Small Group Instruction for students in 3rd through 8th gradeHave expereince working in challenging schoolsPayrate: $33-35/hr.
