Additionally, the Maintenance Manager must maintain control and follow up of the maintenance workforce as well as coordinate with Plant Managers, Supervisors, Maintenance Planners and other plant personnel as required to maximize equipment availability. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS · Responsible for supervising maintenance activities, which include Ready Mix Plant maintenance, plant operations and servicing all equipment.· Work with management on preventive maintenance needs for the plant and mobile equipment· Lead and develop the hourly maintenance workforce.· Ensure compliance with Company, Local, State and Federal rules and regulations.· Leads operations to established production, safety, and environmental objectives and metrics.· Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and optimize maintenance processes.· Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend new tools or technologies that enhance maintenance effectiveness.· Lead projects focused on equipment upgrades, refurbishments, or modifications to optimize performance.· Ability to complete and or ensure competent tasks in general maintenance, welding and electrical is completed to meet safety and production expectations.· Responsible for the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities to meet safety and production expectations. Create work orders before work begins and close them out within 24 hours of completion· Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining high standards of quality.· Performs incidental and related duties as required and assigned.· Maintain accurate documentation using Microsoft Office products, JDE, Command Alkon and other software as needed· Other duties as assigned PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE · Industrial Plant Maintenance experience, preferably a Ready Mix/Concrete operations· Knowledge and hands-on experience in Welding, Electrical, and concrete batching technology. · Past supervisory or leadership experience. · Six (6) years’ experience in Ready Mix/Concrete or related industry preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES · Must keep safety above all else · Must be able to exercise independent judgment· Knowledgeable of MSHA standards and requirements preferred· Possess excellent verbal communication skills· Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems· Ability to perform precision measurements cross check work for appropriate machine specifications.· Ability to work with little or no supervision· Must be a team player· Task and project oriented· Ability to work with all levels of management· Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in the English language· Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, policy manuals and required government regulations· Knowledge of hazards associated with areas of responsibility· Must have good communications skills using a two way radio PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS · Lift up to 30 pounds· Visual acuity, speech & hearing, hand & eye coordination· Walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, twisting, balancing, repetitive motion, driving, and squatting to perform the essential functions of this production labor position· Must use proper Personal Protective Equipment as required· Must be able to climb stairs and ladders· Must have good hand/eye coordination and vision to safely operate equipment· Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions· Pass required physical examination and drug screens WORKING CONDITIONS Works in all weather conditions including heat, cold, ice, rain and in high humidity and is required to work in all plant environments. Incumbent will be exposed to vibrating equipment and mechanical and electrical hazards and heights.
