POSITION SUMMARY
Bedrock’s internship program challenges you to gain industry knowledge through hands-on and practical learning methods. The Rotational Internship Program is established to provide insight into Bedrock’s mission for creating world-class cities, of building success with passion, experience, and a commitment to be the best. We are committed to making places that are socially responsible, promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, are economically vibrant, and are environmentally sustainable. Armed with approximately 10-12 weeks of intense concentration in business areas related to Real Estate Development, you will garner the basic skills necessary to problem solve and manage the different disciplines which are critical competencies of an outstanding commercial real estate team member.
The goal of this program is for you to understand each of these areas in a fundamental, practical, and functional manner. The practical application of this understanding becomes the foundation of a well-rounded real estate professional.
PROGRAM OUTLINE
The Rotational Internship Program will have a duration of approximately 10–12 weeks. Each intern will attend the required orientation and onboarding during their first week and meet with the executive team. Real Estate Development interns will rotate through various business areas, such as but not limited to:
Development, Construction, and Architecture
Acquisition & Capital Markets
Asset Management
Hospitality
Leasing
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
One must be going into their junior year of college or higher in August 2025.
Pursuing a degree related to real estate, such as business, management, finance, hospitality, architecture, or urban planning and development.
Previous internship or work experience is helpful.
The internship is fully on site in Detroit, MI. If one’s permanent address is more than 50 miles away, housing options can be requested.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to perform tasks within established procedures
Ability to think critically and problem-solve at a basic level
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Strong verbal and written communication skills
