Become a Real Estate & Facilities Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll provide technical writing and analytical support in the preparation and monitoring of regulatory filings and proceedings such as as the General Rate Case (GRC) testimony which drives Corporate Real Estate (CRE) spending for department operation, facility maintenance, large and small capital construction projects. Responsibilities Ensures that real estate and facilities services are performed and delivered in accordance with contracts, proposals and strategies Provides technology support for buildings, ensuring that they are maintained and running well Identifies and implements ways to drive optimal facility utilization Ensures all facilities and programs are operated and maintained in alignment with established standards and procedures Recommends capital improvements and operational changes for existing facilities to further corporate sustainability initiatives Contributes to the development of standards and procedures of the business based on knowledge of evolving customer needs Conducts financial and business analysis including the preparation of reports and participates in forecasting and preparing budgets Assists with the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and work standards for the business unit A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity. Minimum Qualifications Seven or more years of experience in Real Estate Licensing, Real Estate Acquisitions, Right of Way or Real Property Transactions. Posses a valid Class C Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, technical writing, or technical discipline or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience. Certifications or memberships from the following professional organizations: PMI, BOMA, IFMA, CoreNet Global. Intermediate to advanced level capabilities in technical writing; ability to distill complex technical information into user-friendly documents. Must have excellent grammar, sentence structure, and editing skills Intermediate to advanced level capabilities in reporting specifically in data analysis. Experience with coordinating or developing components of the General Rate Case Experience gathering information, monitor and report project status, and coordinate activities to ensure timely delivery. Financial modeling skills, including operational planning and reconciliation of accounts across various systems (SAP, COBRA, RO) Experience pulling and synthesizing data from various sources, cost-benefit analysis, risk management, bow-tie analysis, and developing business cases Strong financial and statistical analytics skills and quick learning abilities
Additional Information
This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
