Real Estate Senior Associate - London A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Real Estate Senior Associate to join a thriving property team at a forward-thinking West End law firm in London. This role offers the chance to work on high-quality transactions, manage junior team members, and actively contribute to the team's growth and reputation, with a clear pathway toward Partnership. The Role: - Manage your own caseload with minimal supervision, including acquisitions and disposals of commercial property, both freehold and leasehold. - Handle development projects (commercial and residential), property finance transactions (bridging, mezzanine, and development finance), and restructuring matters. - Negotiate and draft option agreements, conditional contracts, and complex landlord and tenant agreements, including new leases, assignments, and renewals. - Actively participate in business development initiatives, client retention strategies, and efforts to grow the team's reputation within the market. - Supervise and mentor junior team members, fostering their technical and professional development. - Share knowledge and lead learning initiatives within the team. About the Team: The Property team is a collaborative group of 20 professionals, including 4 partners and 11 legal specialists. The team is renowned for delivering high-quality work for high-net-worth clients, developers, investors, corporate occupiers, and lenders. They have established a reputation for excellence across commercial property, development, and finance work. Candidate Requirements: - At least 6 years' PQE in commercial property within private practice. - Strong technical expertise and first-rate drafting skills across a broad range of real estate matters. - A proactive, self-motivated approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Demonstrable experience in managing and mentoring junior team members. - Commercial acumen and the ability to provide pragmatic, client-focused advice. - Strong financial awareness, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize effectively. - A growth mindset and enthusiasm for business development and networking opportunities. - Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, with the ability to adapt to new systems quickly.
