Job Summary:

We are currently looking to add to our team with an exciting opportunity as an Staff Accountant in Acrisure Business Services as part of the Acrisure Real Estates Services Team (ARES), primarily servicing one or more of our title companies located in Bucks County, PA. The Staff Accountant plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the financial operations of the company, specifically within the context of title and escrow services. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and attention to detail, especially in handling escrow-related transactions, reconciliations, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and monthly reconciliations, with a focus on escrow and trust accounts.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and title industry regulations (e.g., ALTA Best Practices, state trust account rules).

Reconcile bank statements related to operational and escrow accounts on a daily and monthly basis.

Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.

Monitor and report on escrow account activity, ensuring accuracy and proper fund disbursement.

Record journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

Support annual audits and respond to auditor requests.

Review and analyze transaction documentation to verify accuracy and completeness.

Collaborate with escrow officers and other departments to ensure proper handling of funds and timely resolution of accounting discrepancies.

Maintain documentation and support internal controls over financial transactions and escrow processes.

Requirements:

Strong understanding of GAAP and trust accounting principles.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Familiarity with title insurance and real estate settlement processes, preferred.

Experience with escrow disbursement accounting and 3-way reconciliation, preferred.

Knowledge of compliance requirements related to escrow and fiduciary funds, preferred.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

2+ years of accounting experience; title and escrow industry experience preferred.

Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SoftPro, Qualia, ResWare, or similar).

High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
