Autodesk Research is looking for a Unity or Unreal Engine (UE) senior engineer to help in the creation of cutting-edge XR research applications. We are looking for someone who thrives on creativity and is willing to collaborate in a research environment on innovative ideas and create solutions that push the capabilities of new technology.
Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
BS Degree in Computer Science or similar technical field5+ years of proven experience with 3D real-time engines such as Unreal Engine or UnityExperience with XR (use and development)Proficient in C# and C++ particularly Modern C++ (C++17 and above)Understanding of basic game math fundamentals (vectors, matrices, physics, projections, camera space, tangent space, object space)Working knowledge of source control, including best practices (branching/streams)Ability to work in a research role, start-up fashion even within a big companyAbility to work from home / remotely within a structured team environmentSelf-motivated, proactive and able to utilize time allotted efficientlyStrong problem-solving skillsExcellent collaboratorGood communication skillsPreferred Qualifications
Experience with lighting, modeling, and texturing in Unreal EngineFamiliarity with content production workflows for integration in Unreal projectsExcellent communication skills: ability to accurately and succinctly communicate information between technical developers, HCI researchers and non-technical artistsExperience in games, themed entertainment, visual effects, or a related industrySolid Unreal Engine experience with C++ API, gameplay, rendering, optimization, etcStrong math (linear algebra and geometry) knowledgeExperience developing software for Mobile devices, especially AndroidGit/GitHub knowledgeLearn More
