The Opportunity:
Due to recent promotion, Komatsu is seeking a Rebuild Specialist to join the Rebuild Management Team. The chosen candidate may be based at either Rutherford, Moss Vale, or Parkhurst locations.
You will be part of our team of Rebuild Specialists, collaborating with customers and internal stakeholders from various disciplines within the Komatsu Underground business.
Reporting to the Business Manager - Rebuilds, you will accurately develop rebuild scopes of work, estimate, quote, and capture all non-standard activities and variations.
This position encompasses a variety of tasks, including technical and financial management, customer interaction, and compliance.
Key Job Responsibilities
+ Assume full responsibility for responding to assigned rebuild quote requests or tender submissions.
+ Quotations, pricing schedules, technical deviations, tender schedules, offer letters, and the scope of work for the workshop.
+ Direct customer-facing activities with regional sales teams.
+ Negotiate contracts and quotations for precise work scopes.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders within the product group and operational teams to develop and cost a comprehensive and feasible rebuild scope of work that aligns with customer expectations.
+ Ensure target margins are planned and obtainable before submitting quotes.
+ Regularly review the quoting/scoping process and financial performance to find areas for improvement.
+ Document and submit quotes and letters of offer to customers.
+ Generate "live-load" quotes in SAP for efficient execution.
+ Oversee adjustments to the rebuild scope concerning pricing and SAP management.
+ Maintain variation registers for rebuilds.
+ Adhere to Komatsu's principles, Code of Conduct, and policies.
+ Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation and report hazards.
Qualifications/Requirements
+ Tertiary studies in either/and Engineering, Commerce, and Manufacturing.
+ Experience in the Repair of OE Products, Engineering, Commercial, or Operations role in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
+ Strong Technical skills and familiarity with machine design, fabrication and welding techniques, hydraulics, electrical and electronics.
+ Commercial awareness, business acumen and an understanding of quote preparation and presentation
+ Able to build positive relationships internally and externally
+ Proficiency using MS Word, Excel and Power Point as a minimum. Microsoft Project experience is favourable.
+ Proficiency in SAP including engineering bills of material and sales order development highly desirable.
