The position of Receipt Inspection Lead is within our Infectious Disease Developed Markets business unit located at Scarborough, Maine. In this role you will be responsible for all Receipt Inspection processes and managing part specifications to ensure alignment of current manufacturing processes with a focus on improving efficiency through material and process improvements. Also, accountable for nonconforming material reporting, continuous improvement in cost reduction projects and procedure revisions
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees all daily Receipt Inspection activities and employees, reporting to Supplier Chain manager as necessary. Ensures employees working in Receipt Inspection are following cGMP’s and all current procedures and processes. Analyzes all current raw material specifications to ensure the specifications are appropriate to support manufacturing process requirements. Materials may include chemicals, biological, printed material and plastics. Organizes and supports cross-functional actions and processes involved with material specification updates, features and limits, non-conforming raw materials in quarantine locations. Supports Supplier Process Engineers in updating purchased material specification documents and inspection documents in the document control system and assist in the management of the Approved Parts List. Collects and reports data involving nonconforming material rejected by production processes and takes cross-functional action when necessary to reduce rates. Assist Supplier Process Engineers in continuous improvement and other cost reduction projects. Inspects incoming material as needed.Supervisory Responsibilities
May directly supervise employees in the Receipt Inspection department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.Responsibilities include but are not limited to; interviewing, training associates, planning, assigning and directing work to meet operational commitments. Provides input in performance appraisals, disciplining and recognition of associates performance; addressing complaints/concerns and resolving issues/concernsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION:
Associates Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, or other related fields or equivalent combination of education and experience.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
5-years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.3-years’ experience in quality or supplier engineering.Experience working in a GMP or FDA regulated environment. Strong skills in database development with Access Database software.Strong statistical analysis skills.WHAT WE OFFER

The base pay for this position is $20.05 – $40.15 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
