POSITION SUMMARY:
The main role of the Receiver, Supply Chain is to communicate with various departments to ensure outward/ inward packages are properly directed to Shipping & Receiving.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists management in evaluating, suppliers/contractorsEnsures adherence to quality expectations and standardsFollows company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environmentFollows all company policies and proceduresEnsures uniform and personal appearance are clean and professionalMaintains the confidentiality of proprietary information; protects company assetsAnticipates and addresses colleague/suppliers’ service needsCommunicates with others using clear and professional language; answers telephones using appropriate etiquetteIs knowledgeable of suppliers/colleagues' suggestions for improving how work is doneReads and visually verifies information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print)Visually inspects tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects)Enters and locates work-related information using computers and/or scannersManipulates objects of various size and weight: moves, lifts, carries, pushes, pulls, grasps, turns (weighing less than or equal to 25 Kilogram without assistance)Reconciles shipping invoices and receiving reports to ensure count accuracyStacks received merchandise on pallets or cartsReceives and stages merchandise by department, mark appropriately for placement in facility, and deliver merchandise to the appropriate departmentReceives, unloads, and processes deliveries and account for incoming freight based on invoice and receiving reportsVerifies and tracks received inventory and complete inventory reports and logsOversees the return process by verifying counts, shipping addresses, labels, etc.Locks and unlocks secure merchandise storage areasCheck-in merchandise, reports bad pallets, prints, and places slot labels, and checks current inventory levelsUses technology to send, receive, and print out product requisitionsNotifies manager/supervisor of low stock levels in a timely mannerCompletes requisition forms for inventory and suppliesReaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.Carries out other duties that may from time to time be delegated to him/herMaintains accurate tracking system on all shipping and receiving transactions; ensures accurate billing of outgoing packagesCommunicates with management regarding package loss or damageMaintains clear and organized records to ensure all reports and invoices are filed and stored properlyMaintains and organizes all received pallets until the product is “broken down”, removed and/or stored. Operates forklift/pallet jackQUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: minimum 2 years of experience as a Goods Receiver more preferably in the hospitality sectorEducation: Bachelor Degree (preferred graduate in commerce, economics) is considered an advantageHolder of clean Driving LicenseSkills
Computer literate, especially in MS ExcelGood command in English language both written and spokenPERSONAL COMPETENCIES
Able to work outside of his duty hours in exceptional casesSelf-starter and self-motivatedHighly organized and results drivenAble to manipulate objects up to 20 kilogramsVery good motor skills and hand – eye coordinationAttention to details and ability to work under pressureIs trustworthy, well presented and outgoing
