Shore Point Distributing Company, one of New Jersey’s largest beer distributors, is seeking a full-time Receiving Clerk.   Located in Freehold, we carry an extensive line of national, regional and local craft beers for sale to customers in Monmouth, Ocean, Middlesex, Somerset, Hunterdon, Warren, Burlington and Mercer counties. 

We have an immediate opening for customer-Oriented, motivated individual to join our Freehold, NJ Team as Receiving Clerk. The Receiving Clerk will assist the team in the incoming shipments and issue proper paperwork with special attention to count and brands.

Responsibilities:

Schedules all incoming trailers Research product to prioritize days on hand (DOH)Handles incoming drivers and shipments and matches count on each shipment with attached paperworkSchedules all pick-ups and deliveries to other distributors and suppliersEntering all products into the system including dunnage returnsSchedules returns of empties/dunnage to the respective brewersChecking for out of stock items and working with the routing department daily to fill back ordersAssisting the receiving supervisors with their daily work loadUtilize company systems and work with appropriate departments (IC, Finance, etc.) to verify and ensure accurate putaway and reconciliation of receiptsEntering all loads into system for accurate inventoryPreparing dock, PO’s and schedule for next day’s inbound loads Miscellaneous other duties as needed Update receiving log/records to ensure accurate data keepingWork effectively with Inventory team to identify and reconcile receiving inaccuraciesUnderstand warehouse storage needs to ensure accurate/effective put away

 

Required Skills / Knowledge

Knowledge of receiving and inbound scheduling processesMicrosoft Excel/Word knowledgeVerbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of or willingness to learn warehouse operationsAbility to maintain accurate records

 

 Experience Needed

High School Diploma or equivalent1 year or more receiving experience
