**Job Description**
**Position Summary**
The **Supervisor – Receiving & Subcontracting/Secondaries Department** is responsible for overseeing daily operations related to inbound materials and external processing. This role ensures efficient receiving, inspection, and movement of incoming goods, as well as the timely coordination of materials sent to and received from subcontractors or secondary processing vendors.
**Duties and Responsibilities**

**Receiving Responsibilities:**
+ Supervise the receiving process, ensuring timely and accurate unloading, inspection, and storage of incoming materials.
+ Ensure all received materials meet quality standards and company specifications.
+ Monitor and manage the flow of materials from receiving to internal departments or storage locations.
+ Work closely with quality control and purchasing teams to resolve discrepancies in shipments, including damaged or incorrect materials.
+ Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all incoming shipments in ERP/MRP systems.
+ Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory requirements for receiving operations.
**Subcontracting/Secondaries Responsibilities:**
+ Oversee the coordination of materials sent to subcontractors or secondary processing facilities.
+ Ensure timely movement of materials between HydraForce and external vendors to meet production schedules.
+ Track and monitor subcontracted materials to ensure on-time delivery and return.
+ Maintain strong communication with external suppliers to address delays or quality concerns.
+ Work with internal teams to ensure processed materials meet HydraForce specifications before reintegration into production.
**General Responsibilities:**
+ Manage daily workflow and assign tasks to team members in receiving and subcontracting operations.
+ Train, supervise, and motivate staff to maintain high levels of efficiency and accuracy.
+ Monitor and analyze department performance metrics, implementing process improvements where necessary.
+ Maintain a safe and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
+ Work cross-functionally with production, purchasing, and quality departments to optimize material flow and minimize downtime.
+ Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
**Supervisory Responsibilities**
+ Directly supervise employees in **receiving and subcontracting/secondaries operations** .
+ Provide training, performance evaluations, and development opportunities to staff.
+ Maintain discipline and enforce company policies as needed.
**Physical Requirements**
+ Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistance.
+ Ability to stand, walk, and move materials for extended periods.
+ Ability to work in a warehouse environment with temperature variations and moderate to high noise levels.
**Qualifications**
+ **Education:** High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree preferred.
+ **Experience:** Three to five years of supervisory experience in logistics, receiving, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced setting.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage priorities effectively.
+ Proficiency in **ERP/MRP systems** (e.g., Fourth Shift, Q Pulse) for tracking inventory and material movement.
+ Understanding of quality control, subcontracting, and secondary processing workflows.
+ Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
+ Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.
+ Bilingual skills a plus.
**Additional Information**
The US base hourly range for this full-time position is $27- $33. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. The Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range during the interview process.
