Job Summary
The Receptionist is responsible for providing telecommunication services to a KidsPeace facility. This includes greeting and directing customers and visitors.
Job Duties
Operate the telephone system by routing calls, paging staff persons, placing out-going calls, and performing client and staff inquiries utilizing KidsPeace current software and applications Troubleshoot and maintain the current telephone system and report errors to appropriate department or local telephone company Greet, direct, and aid customers and visitors by providing general information as needed. Be courteous, helpful, and professional Serve as the location clearinghouse by operating and maintaining office equipment; performing light word-processing functions, as specific location requires Receive, collect necessary data, and place emergency 911 calls to local and state emergency dispatchers Ensure that visitors sign in and out via log; ensure that visitors are given and wear visitor tags Preparing, sorting, and distributing US and interoffice mail; receiving and tracking parcels and packages Provide assistance to security department by monitoring and operating security equipment during absence of security personnel as specific location requires Monitor the Incident Command Phone; follow the Incident Command System (ICS) procedures and use ICS formsQualifications
High School Graduate or equivalent required Must possess basic personal computer knowledge and skills Must be able to receive and give detailed information through verbal and written communication. Must be proficient in the English language Comfortable working around socially and emotionally disturbed clients Must have the ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, flexible hours, and overtime as required
