Receptionist

We are looking for an experienced and methodical receptionist to join our busy Cardiff office and support our client-focused team. This is a full-time position with duties split between managing our busy reception and providing administrative support to various teams.

Key Responsibilities

Greeting and welcoming visitorsManaging the daily log and security passes for health and safety purposesHandling the switchboard and fielding callsOrganising and prioritising reception tasks to ensure efficient serviceManaging meeting room bookings and arranging buffetsSetting up meeting rooms each morningHandling and distributing incoming and outgoing post and courier deliveriesArranging the end-of-day postManaging and distributing office stationeryProviding administrative support including claims input, enquiries, archiving, diary management, chasing documentation, and database updatesBooking taxis and travelManaging the basement parking rotaHandling various invoicing tasks

This front-of-house role requires someone who embraces our passion for customer service and professionalism. You should be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team with the other receptionist. Our work can be varied, so you may be incredibly busy one day and quieter the next, taking on more administrative duties as needed. Flexibility is key, as some days may involve data entry and other tasks as required.

The skills you will have when you apply:

Previous reception experience with similar responsibilities in a dual role is essentialExcellent presentation skills, highly organised, and customer-focusedExperience in dealing with general enquiries in a positive and professional mannerAbility to work with minimal to no supervisionHighly professional telephone mannerMust be able to use initiative without referralAbility to operate a switchboard (training will be provided for the right candidate)Excellent administration skills with the ability to multitaskComputer literate, including Microsoft Excel
