Operates telephone console to answer high-volume incoming calls and directs callers to appropriate personnel. As first point of contact to visitors, must project a professional image when routing calls and greeting guests.

 

This is a part-time role onsite 3 days per week for a French speaking bilingual candidate.


Responsibilities:
Answer incoming telephone calls, determine purpose of callers, and forward calls to appropriate
personnel or department. Place outgoing calls, as needed.Answer questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other general information.Welcome on-site visitors, determine nature of business, and announce visitors to appropriate
personnel. Relay messages manually, via PA system and/or by electronic mail.Monitor visitor access and issue guest passes, when required.Record voice mail greetings and retrieve voice mail messages from the general mailbox.Update the telephone extension directory.Update and maintain several databases using Excel and Access software.Train switchboard personnel and back-up on all aspects of the switchboard duties.Support Office Services and/or Human Resources in routine clerical and administrative tasks that can be accomplished at the front desk.Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D)1+ year experience in customer service or similar roleMust be bilingual in FrenchMust be able to work onsite 3 days per week on a part-time basisHighly dependable to maintain perfect attendanceWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

Fluent in English, other languages such as Spanish an assetCheerful, poised manner and presentation, both in person and on telephone
