Job Title: Recovery Resource Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Recovery Resource Coordinator will identify community-based resources for referral, provide orientation and aftercare service coordination, and psycho-education services to residents transitioning to community and their family members and to create and maintain an alumni group.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To maintain supportive contact with residents to continually assess their individual needs, especially during initial period of residency and during stressful and crisis situations. To provide advocacy/case management services whenever appropriate for each resident. To develop, cultivate and manage a positive culture and milieu. To provide for client care and safety and crisis intervention when necessary. To interact with clients in order to assess needs, provide information, discuss problems, set limits and encourage growth and development and to monitor each client’s progress. To provide residents with an understanding of house routines, rules, and responsibilities (including curfew routines, sleeping quarters, maintenance and household chores, etc.). To develop and maintain a working knowledge of local community resources and social service agencies and develop positive and sustaining working relationships with them. To participate in all case consultation meetings, staff meetings and case conferences, as appropriate. To provide orientation of services to prospective clients, family, and community groups. To facilitate the Family Orientation Group, the Consumer Advisory Committee, and the Alumni Support Group, and maintain minutes thereof. To receive, review and address all consumer complaints and grievances. To provide recommendations for discharge planning and aftercare services.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree and/or three years’ experience with target population. Must have valid driver’s license, auto insurance, ability to meet agency’s driving requirements, and ability to assume travel assignments related to work. Bilingual Preferred (Spanish/English)
