Job Title: Recovery Specialist

Job Summary:

The Recovery Specialist II/Residential Counselor II is an evolution of the basic, Recovery Specialist I/Residential Counselor I position. Recovery Specialist II/Residential Counselor II staff is expected to continue to fulfill all expectations of a Recovery Specialist I/RC I. In addition to those expectations, the Recovery Specialist II/Residential Counselor II will take more of a leadership role and focus on medication room compliance. To participate in the development of reasonable limits and structure for each person served and to implement these limits on a daily basis in the residence and community in a fair and consistent manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain direct supportive contact with residents to continually asses their individual needs To transport clients to appointments as needed Acquire and maintain necessary certifications mandated by the Agency and licensing standards Facilitate treatment groups Develop strong, supportive relationships with clients, providing for their safety and care Collaborate with other departments in settings where care must be coordinated between medical, MAT, and psychiatric and behavioral needs

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in human service field preferred. Minimum of 1 year of experience working with psychiatric clients preferred. Must have availability of an automobile to transport clients or perform other supportive services as necessary. Bilingual Preferred (Spanish/English)
