General Summary
Contributes in a peer support capacity to facilitate recovery and enhance wellness by sharing his/her personal/practical experience and first-hand knowledge to the team and clients. Serves as a role model for recovery for both staff and peers and partners with peers in developing recovery tools and building support networks.

Meets with supervisor for individual supervision on a weekly basis. Models coping techniques and self-help strategies. Encourages and provides support for peers to advocate for themselves. Reinforces hope and the potential for recovery to peers and others. Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.Required for All Jobs:

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Work Experience:
1 year Of paid or volunteer experience within a three year period. Required and A self-identified recovering consumer. Required and Experience in navigating the recovery system (i.e. crisis services, vocational rehabilitation, recreational activities, and human services, etc.). Required and A history of coping with own substance use disorder issues and maintenance of own recovery. Required and Medical Assistance or related health field experience. RequiredLicenses:
Certified Recovery Specialist Upon Hire RequiredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills. Basic computer skills including email, Word, and internet. Knowledge of and ability in the care and support of individuals in a specific age group.
