Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Tinker Information, Ticket and Travel Office. This is a Regular Part Time position with a minimum guaranteed 20 hours per week. Incumbent will be eligible for benefits including Health and Dental coverage, Life Insurance, 401k and NAF Retirement. Responsibilities Performs and assists in a variety of duties to include coordinating, planning and preparing monthly calendar of travel events, answering telephone calls. Receives and answers questions on tickets and local attractions as well as other travel such as cruises. Information and knowledge must be gained by use of office files, websites and brochures. Must be able to refer calls to appropriate sources. Assists in the planning of in-state as well as out of state travel and travel plans for customers. Maintains and operates a cash register and computer, responsible for receiving cash and making change. Responsible for change fund, ticket inventory and creating attractive displays. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifying Experience: Ability to safeguard and handle cash, demonstrate skill in clerical and office work, use and maintenance of various office equipment, including computers. Must have basic knowledge in Microsoft Office. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays and special events when required. Ability to read, write and speak English as well as communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Knowledge in booking travel is preferred but not required. Requires standing for long periods of time, bending and lifting up to 25 pounds. T1 Background investigation required. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
