Recreation Assistant (Facilities Operator) NF-02
Summary This position is located at Fort Carson with the BRD Special Events department. Responsibilities Works as an assistant for the Facilities Operations Team Leader who makes specific assignments, explains policies and procedures and reviews work for quantity and quality of completed projects. Arranges furniture and equipment for various types and sizes of events; puts up and takes down special event decorations. May assist in conducting event. Maybe required to drive a motor vehicle as needed. Issues/receives recreational equipment to authorized users. Collects applicable fees for items issued, accounts for monies collected safeguards funds and makes daily bank deposits. Pre-checks and prepares equipment for customers, explains use, and monitors proper usage. Conducts surveillance of total facility and reports any unusual findings to supervisor. Job may require work in various facilities depending on requirements as determined by customer demand or programmed activities. Operates equipment and performs self-help maintenance on facilities and equipment. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications 1. Demonstrated ability to performs the duties described above. 2. Must have and retain a valid driver's license. **Highly Preferred - Resume must demonstrate experience in the highly preferred criteria. Must have experience with property book and key control systems. Must have experience with planning, organizing, and executing special events. Applicants that meet the Highly Preferred criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. All others may be referred if management does not make a selection from the Highly Preferred list. Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
