Summary This position is located at Sports & Fitness Centers BLGD's 148, 170, and Outdoor Gym, Patriot Blvd, Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico. Responsibilities Assists Facility Manager in the overall management and operation of a fitness facility. Conducts classes and walks all facility rooms to provide guidance or referral as appropriate. Cleans and performs minor maintenance on facility equipment. Assists with publicity of programs and events assists with marketing of posters, flyers and other promotional material. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Qualification Requirements: Possesses directly related work experience that includes the demonstrated ability to operate multiple fitness facilities. The related work experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. HIGHLY PREFERRED Are those candidates that possess both the minimum qualifications above and all of the following: Possess a Nationally Recognized Basic Fitness Trainer Certification Possess work experience directly related to operating multiple fitness facilities Demonstrated ability to work independently Possess front desk skills such as customer service and registration, administrative work, proficiency in MS Office Suite, multitasking and organization skills Possess cashier skills to include but not limited to familiarity with cash desk equipment (Point-Of-Sale [POS]), scanners and cash drawers, accuracy in counting and handling money PLEASE NOTE: Applicants that are considered highly preferred may be sent first for consideration. PCS Costs Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
