Summary This position is located at Schofield Barracks Arts and Crafts Center, in Schofield Barracks, HI (Island of Oahu). Incumbent will be assisting customers in ceramic and fine arts area with conducting classes, issuing equipment, and instructing customers and assisting with special events. Responsibilities In a patron usage facility, circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory; receives and resolves customer complaints; provides information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilities and machinery. Assists patrons in use of the facility by checking out equipment, providing safety instruction, demonstrating new equipment, teaching classes, etc. Plans, conducts, publicizes and arranges support for special events, social activities, tournaments and related functions. May provide work guidance to other staff. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: 1. Work experience which involved dealing with the general public. **Resume MUST clearly reflect the knowledge and experience listed under the minimum qualifications criteria above.** Highly Preferred Qualifications: 1. Must possess at least 3 years experience in conducting youth art classes for ages: 3-12 years. . 2. Must possess the ability to plan progressive basic instruction and application of skills in multimedia arts program. **To be evaluated as a highly preferred candidate, your resume MUST clearly reflect the knowledge and experience listed under the minimum qualifications AND highly preferred criteria above.** Applicants who meet both minimum qualifications and highly preferred criteria will be sent to the hiring manager first. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
