Responsibilities Develops, manages, plans, administers programs to support eligible personnel for Community Activity Center. Community Activity Center manager responsible for monitoring and maintaining big screen TVs, coordinating garrison competitions, tournaments, overseeing food and beverage operation and programs for requested soldier interests. Devises improvises and adapts activities to the wide range of participants interest and needs considering limitation of funds, facilities, equipment, volunteers, staff support available. As Recreation Delivery Program Team Leader responsible for planning and executing of community special events that respond to the needs and interest of the military/civilian population. Continuously evaluates the effectiveness of ongoing activities and coordinates events with supervisor, prior to scheduling special events or prior to submission of special events for five-year plans. Prepare a community calendar. Observes each program area to evaluate effectiveness of leadership and operation, effectiveness of service provided to the community and conformance to operating standards and regulations. Markets programs through all available marketing sources. Prepares program Memorandum of Instructions for upcoming programs. Participates in strategic planning initiatives and measures and group brainstorming meetings. Submits cost analysis of events prior to implementation and after each event. Performs full range supervisory duties. Performs full range supervisory duties. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications MINIMUM CRITERIA REQUIREMENTS: 1. Directly related work experience that provided the applicant the ability, knowledge, skills, principles, methods and techniques to plan, organize, coordinate, supervise and evaluate a recreational program. HIGHLY PREFERRED CRITERIA REQUIREMENTS: 1. Must have at least 3 years' experience coordinating, planning and executing events for a minimum of 10,000 attendees. 2. Experience writing Operations Orders (OPORDS), Fragmentary Orders (FRAGOS) and detailed scope of work for entertainment and rental contracts. 3. Experience developing annual operating budgets, submitting contracts for procuring products, services and entertainment. 4. Experience creating Deliberate Risk Assessment Worksheets and ability to create/deliver briefings to senior management/commanders. 5. Experience directing the setup of event infrastructures to include canopies, staging, tables, chairs, light towers and related set-ups. 6. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
