St. Josephs Behavioral Health Center is a licensed not-for-profit facility providing comprehensive behavioral health services for psychiatric and chemical dependency disorders. We offer a 35-bed inpatient hospital day treatment and outpatient services. Our specially trained staff of board certified psychiatrists physicians and licensed professionals are committed to providing compassionate quality care and creating an atmosphere that fosters communication trust and personal growth.


Responsibilities

Responsible for the overall operation of the adjunctive therapy program. Will work within a multi-disciplinary framework. Must be able to develop new programs organize staff and schedule activities. Performs regular activity and recreation patient care as a regular working supervisor including: assessments progress notes group activities community meetings and other adjunctive therapy as needed. Can make use of statistical control processes in decision making. This position requires providing service to one or more age populations including a child adolescent/teen adult and geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates and understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).

Qualifications

Experience:

Minimum of one (1) year experience in psychiatric hospital or clinic

Education:

BA/BS or Masters' level degree in one of the following expressive therapies:ArtMusicOccupational TherapyRecreational Therapy

Licensure:

Must be registered or licensed therapist or license eligible in their field of study nationallyCurrent BLSĀ 

Special Skills:

Must be able to work as a team member of a multi-disciplinary team of professionals.
