What you will do:
Recruits and hires a sufficient quantity of all levels of personnel with appropriate, verified skills through the screening and selection of candidates and ensures that the Firelands Health departments have adequate staff to achieve operational objectives. Coordinates the employment function of all employees, maintains accurate records and files for Firelands Health personnel. Develops effective employment advertising. Decides which publications, web sites and social media to use in order to achieve desired results. Monitors response and adjusts accordingly. Attends area job fairs representing and promoting FRMC while scouting for potential employees. Ensures hiring process is free from bias on the basis of race, color, religion, ancestry, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, age, national origin, marital status, disability, military and/or veteran status, genetic information or other characteristics protected by the law. Pre-screens applicants for critical information and evaluation of multiple factors against requirements for job vacancy. Refers best qualified applicants to department for selection. Schedules and conducts interviews with hiring manager. Conducts job related skill/assessment testing. Records interview notes in the ATS. Completes employment reference checks, ensuring references are verified, calculates the starting wage for new hires and job transfers, extends employment offers, emails the employee welcome letter, and notifies applicant of their hire and starting date. Schedules and conducts employee onboardings; prepares new hire packets, enters new employee information into payroll/personnel systems, and assigns new hires to General Orientation and Computer Orientation. Explains benefits and applicable policies to new employees and processes or oversees proper completion of enrollment forms, tax forms, verifies I-9 and other employment forms. Verifies and obtains all required licensure, certification, CPR, and transcripts of new hires in compliance with accreditation guidelines. Orients new hires on e-mail, network login, UltiPro system, clocking in/out, and processes their I.D. badge. Scans new hire Firelands Health employees’ files and adds information to existing files. Provides recruitment workflow training to new hiring managers. Operates the applicant tracking software from creating and posting the job requisitions, review of applications, dispositioning status, to recording hiring information. Provides advice and counsel to Firelands Health management in the hiring process. Responds to inquiries from applicants as to status of application process. Interacts with Firelands Health management regarding status of open positions. Initiates and tracks completion of Change of Status forms and processes terminations for the Firelands Health. Verifies accuracy of information, including pay grade/position code, employment status, effective date, and position title. Interviews terminated employees per established policy to gather information to improve retention. Coordinates functions of the Recruiting Office. Maintains stats and reports relative to recruiting. Manages the Human Resources internet e-mail. Responsible in-house for job posting process in accordance with Firelands Health policy. Ensures fair and consistent application of process. Administers the Referral Bonus list and Retention Bonus program. Verifies the timeliness of receival, logs the information, and processes payroll adjustment form.What you will need:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field. Graduate of an approved college or university in Human Resources, Business Administration or other related field preferred. Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience working with recruitment and placement, preferably in a healthcare environment. Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and oral form, with management, outside agencies and job applicants. Must possess a valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license and be insurable under Firelands' auto policy. Employee must provide proof of personal automobile liability insurance coverage upon request.Successful completion of a one hundred eighty (180) day probationary period.
