What You’ll Do
Use your recruiting skills to help people facing barriers to economic well-being!
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist (aka Recruiter) with The Fedcap Group (www.fedcapgroup.org), you’ll report to the Vice President, Talent Acquisition and handle full cycle recruiting for a portfolio of business units that help people in need. You’ll be a key member of the Fedcap team, ensuring that we hire the best people to move our mission forward and improve the lives of people facing barriers to well-being. You’ll coordinate with hiring managers to understand their requirements, post job openings, source candidates, review resumes and screen candidates, submit resumes and interview notes for qualified candidates, schedule and follow up on interviews, create and send offer letters, and keep candidates engaged post offer until their start date. Ensuring a positive new hire experience is the first step in retention!
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Meeting regularly with leadership of your assigned portfolio of business units to keep up to date on current and upcoming recruiting needs, provide counsel on specific candidates and the overall recruiting process, and ensure that you have a full understanding of business priorities. Proposing, planning, and implementing creative sourcing methods beyond standard job postings such as use of social media, hosting and participating in hiring events (in-person and online), direct outreach, and more. Ensuring that candidates are treated with respect and kept informed of their status in the recruiting process – no ghosting! Keeping hiring managers up to date on the status of recruiting for their open roles, even when there are difficulties and delays. Developing and maintaining a pipeline of candidates for positions with frequent, ongoing openings. Evaluating existing processes and making recommendations for improvement in efficiency and effectiveness. Helping others on the Talent Acquisition Team when you have time to do so. Becoming an expert user of our ATS, Oracle, making suggestions for improvements and improving overall use of the system.You’re a great fit for this role if you have:
Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience. We believe education is important, but if you have great recruiting experience and strong written and oral communication skills, that works for us. Experience as a high volume, full-cycle recruiter. You know how to juggle competing priorities, keep clients and candidates informed, and keep up with the paperwork. Strong computer skills, including experience with ATS systems. We use Oracle Recruiting Cloud, so it would be outstanding if you have Oracle experience. Resourcefulness and curiosity to investigate and learn new things, from researching a job you aren’t familiar with to figuring out software that you haven’t used in the past. Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to manage relationships with both hiring managers and candidates, keeping everyone informed on a timely basis and providing consultative advice in a helpful manner.Compensation: $65.000-$75,000
