Responsibilities:
Responsible for the recruiting of construction craft employees (i.e. heavy equipment operators, laborers, and skilled trade positions). Work closely with division management and project leadership to understand and support recruiting needs, including but not limited to posting job ads, initial application review, phone screens, mass hiring events for project start-ups, projecting future position needs/headcount based on production schedule, processing employee referrals, new employee on-boarding, and so on. Write and place job advertising in various media and utilize online recruiting sources to find and recruit candidates. Establish partnerships with high school and technical school programs relevant to construction, attend career days/fairs, including scheduling, setting up displays, and making public presentations to students regarding. Maintain network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates. Document recruitment activities in the ATS. Perform other duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED required; 2- or 4- year degree in Human Resources or other relevant course of study preferred 2 years of relevant recruiting experience preferred Prior construction industry knowledge and experience strongly preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure Strong organizational, attention to detail, and follow-up skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software programs, email, and internet Professional demeanor, tactful, and able to interact effectively with all levels of management and employees Demonstrated ability to be proactive, self-motivated, and a team player Valid Driver's License in good standing required Must have reliable transportation, and be able to travel throughout the southeast (over 50% of time). Able to work overtime and weekends as neededWork Environment:
Work is performed both indoors and outside in all types of environmental conditions. This position performs strenuous physical activity, for long periods, under varying and adverse field conditions. This position must be able to lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs., stand, walk on uneven surfaces, manually manipulate, grasp, reach out and above shoulder, climb, kneel, bend, twist, and push/pull.
