About the Role
The Recruiter and People Generalist is a dynamic role with a primary focus on Technical Recruiter with light support of Office Operations, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to both talent acquisition and workplace efficiency.
We’re seeking for a creative, enthusiastic, and adaptable individual who thrives on connecting with people! In this role, you'll play a key part in helping Houzz grow by hiring exceptional people for our local teams, engaging with multiple teams within and beyond Houzz Taiwan and in diverse activities.
As a Technical Recruiter, you’ll partner with leaders and hiring managers to develop innovative strategies for attracting top talent across various Technology roles. You’ll take ownership of the candidate journey, ensuring a seamless and positive experience from initial contact through to hire. In addition, you’ll take on light office operations responsibilities, such as managing the day-to-day maintenance of the local office, assisting the People Services team with occasional on-the-ground support to enhance the employee experience in our Taiwan office, and supporting ad-hoc initiatives and projects.

This hybrid role will require you to be physically present in the Taipei office regularly as needed: approximately 2-3 days per week.What You’ll DoTechnical Recruiter (80%):Partner with Product & Technology (P&T) global hiring managers effectively to achieve hiring results and meet business goals.Lead a requisition review and effectively gather intelligence on the role(s).Lead an end-to-end hiring process; manage and prioritize recruiting workflow and interviews, proactively assemble and execute a strong sourcing plan, robust top-of-funnel pipeline and interview process for current and future role(s).Attract, assess, gather intel, and present strong candidates that match their hiring manager's needs.Source and build a pipeline of candidates across a variety of profiles, focusing mainly on P&T recruitment. This includes creating a pipeline of candidates via various recruitment tools and best practices.Conduct in-depth HR interviews to evaluate candidates.Effectively offer and negotiate to ensure closing of the opportunity.Follow up with candidates regarding their recruiting status, while ensuring they have the best candidate experience and identify opportunities to improve upon inefficiencies.Cultivate a top notch candidate experience from first contact to offer and on-boarding.Partner with the broader Talent Acquisition team on coordinating cross-countries interviews and processes.Develop outreach and branding initiatives in order to improve Houzz's employer profile.Update candidate records in our recruiting ATS system (Lever).Take on special projects and step in with ad-hoc responsibilities on an as-needed basis.
People Generalist (20%):Ensure workplace operations run smoothly (in the office and remotely), manage administrative tasks such as managing incoming and outgoing mails/packages/ inventory of office needs (grocery items, snacks, office supplies etc.).Collaborate with internal partners such as IT, Finance, and People Services on various cross-functional processes and initiatives.In partnership with People Services, monitor and improve workplace health and safety standards. Ensure the business is legally compliant with all health and safety legislation, whether in the office or at home. Support ad-hoc projects and manage administrative tasks as needed.At a Minimum, We’d Like You to HaveBachelor degree in Behavioral Science or equivalent.2-3 years of full-cycle recruiting experience with experience supporting Technology roles.Experience working in a global, multicultural environment and/or a high growth Saas/ Technology company, across multiple timezones, managing matrix relationships, and collaborating with diverse teams is strongly preferred. Hands-on experience with sourcing techniques, including recruiting on various platforms (example Linkedin) and crafting Boolean search strings.Strong verbal, written skills - both Mandarin and English.Excellent interpersonal communication and influencing skills, effectively engaging with team members, cross-functional leaders and stakeholders. Enthusiastic, optimistic, professional, flexible and you thrive in a team environment.Self-motivated and resourceful with the ability to successfully multitask, problem solve and operate under tight deadlines.
