Griswold Home Care for Howard County, Maryland, is looking to hire a full-time Recruiter to join our team and support the Assistant Director in managing the full-cycle/end-to-end recruiting process for our Home Care Agency. This position also offers additional compensation for meeting quarterly & annual recruiting goals. Position Responsibilities Summary: As a Recruiter at Griswold Home Care of Howard County, you will play a key role in our talent acquisition efforts, supporting the Assistant Director to ensure we attract and hire top talent. You will build and nurture relationships with prospective candidates from schools, universities, and communities, helping to maintain a robust talent pool. Your contributions will be vital to our recruiting success by: * Collaborating with Senior Management: Participate in recruitment planning meetings to develop strategies for filling open positions efficiently and effectively. * Innovating in Recruitment: Research and suggest new methods for sourcing both active and passive candidates, including networking and cold calling to identify top talent. * Marketing the Brand: Help establish Griswold Home Care as an “employer of choice” by assisting in public relations efforts and promoting our brand at events. * Expanding Our Reach: Post job openings across various platforms, including social media, professional networks, and other relevant channels under the guidance of the Recruiter. * Engaging with the Community: Attend career fairs, school/university events, and community gatherings to increase awareness of our company and attract potential candidates. * Screening and Evaluation: Review applications, conduct pre-screening interviews, and perform reference checks to ensure candidates meet the position requirements. * Supporting New Hires: Assist in the on-boarding process, including preparing new employees for orientation and managing communication such as application confirmations and feedback emails. Assist with the execution of orientation. Uploading on-boarding paperwork into our system of record. * Supporting the Retention of Employees: Manage the agency’s employee retention program and online retention tool. Qualifications: * Education: High School Diploma required; a college graduate with a major in a relevant field is preferred. * Experience: Prior experience in recruiting. 1 year (Preferred), particularly in Home Care, is an advantage. * Knowledge: Familiarity with various employment laws in Maryland. * Technical Skills: Proficient in database management and record-keeping. Being detail oriented is crucial! * Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive human resources information with the utmost discretion. * Flexibility: Willingness to travel for recruitment activities such as meetings, college visits, community outreach, and career/job fairs; must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule. * Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to gather and analyze information effectively.
